Our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. All of our efforts, big or small, add up to a global whole to create positive change. To be eligible to display the VR3 Checkerboard Globe logo, at least 30% of the product must be made from recycled, renewable or regenerative materials, or a combination of these.

ARTICLE CHARACTERISTICS
- SHOE MATERIAL: This model is made from a blend of 100% recycled PET synthetic fabric and leather sourced from farms that use regenerative land management to promote biodiversity, improve water cycles and soil health, and sequester carbon dioxide. Vans leather products support responsible manufacturing through the Leather Working Group.
- INNER SOLE: The new VR3Cush? midsole is made of at least 50% bio-based Eva foam, partially derived from plant-based sources, according to ASTM D6866-16 standard test method.
- SOLE: All of the rubber used to manufacture the VR3Waffle? sole (60% of the compound) is natural, regeneratively grown and sourced from farms that use agricultural practices designed to promote biodiversity, improve water cycles and soil health and/or sequester carbon dioxide. This natural rubber compound has been developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability that Vans have been known for since 1966.
