This wool and cotton knit waistcoat in the iconic Big Fit cut from the 1990s reflects Ralph Lauren's passion for American style. The 13 Stars and Stripes recall early American flags, such as the flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the Anglo-American War of 1812, which inspired Francis Scott Key to write the national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner" and to whose restoration Ralph Lauren generously contributed in 1998.
