The college Polo Bear was introduced in 1996 in the form of a Steiff teddy bear and, six years later, was chosen by members of the Polo family to appear on a jersey for the first time in Ralph Lauren history. The collegiate Polo Bear appears again on this cotton T-shirt with a few styling changes, such as tortoiseshell glasses and a jersey with the "Polo" motif.
