The first shoe to come off the Dr. Martens production line. The 1461 shoe burst onto the scene a year after the launch of our Original boot - and it's been a hit ever since. This classic, versatile silhouette is made from our famous Smooth leather, which looks great both polished and weathered. Our DMS sole is reinforced with signature yellow stitching, and the wide, rounded toe ensures all-day comfort, whatever you do.

Durable and famously stiff to begin with, our Smooth leather can be polished to a sleek shine or artfully scuffed. Redesign it to your liking.

Upper: 100% Leather Lining and insole: 55% Leather, 45% Textile Outsole: 100% PVC

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth and allow to dry. Then apply a neutral or coloured Dr. Martens shoe polish, depending on the material. Rub the leather with the Dr. Martens bristle shoe brush to restore the shine.

MANUFACTURING

Reinforced product with Goodyear splicing. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and stitched to maximise strength, not just glued, like so many other shoes.
