Shoe Care

We suggest cleaning New Balance athletic shoes using a soft bristle brush (or an old toothbrush) and a mild detergent (either dishwasher or washing machine detergent). Make sure the detergent does not contain dyes to prevent staining. If you are unsure, we recommend spot-checking with the detergent to make sure there are no stains on the shoe material. Let them air dry for 24 hours. To remove and prevent perspiration, we recommend using a foot deodorant. We do NOT recommend washing your shoes in the washing machine or using a tumble dryer, as some materials can be damaged by heat or too much water. Make sure the cleaners you use are silicone-based to avoid damaging your shoes. Clean suede or leather shoes with specific products for these materials. For best results, always follow the instructions on the cleaning product.
